Food is a very important aspect of black culture. It is an expression of cultural identity. Immigrants bring the food of their countries with them wherever they go and cooking traditional food is a way of preserving and remembering their culture when they move to new places.

A part of culture is also to use food to celebrate religious and community events. At High Heritage, we celebrate with food from different countries. We learn by cooking and tasting food.
